K53 - DRIVER LICENSE


Learner license course – Code B, C1, C or EC (old code 08, 10, 11 and 14)

 

Goal: To prepare the learner driver for the theoretical Learner License Test.

The course consists of three Modules :

1. Road signs
2. Rules of the road
3. Controls of a vehicle

Courses :

A)  4 Day course (Monday – Thursday , 09h00 – 15h00) + 3 Saturdays - Tests
B)  Saturdays - 11 classes (Saturdays, 09h00 – 12h00)

K53 Refresher driver training course

 

Goal: For the driver in possession of a Driver license who is unsure of his /her driving abilities because he/she never/seldom had the opportunity to drive since obtaining a license.

Duration:  Per hour as needed

The course consists of three Modules
1.  Pre-trip inspection
2.  Maneuvers in the yard
3.  Driving on the road

We supply!
- Practical in-car training (1 client: 1 instructor)
- We supply a free collect and drop service to our clients (code 08)
- Patient instructors

- Highly trained instructors with instructor’s certificates

Evaluation of Drivers– Code B, C1 or EC

 

Goal: To assess driving skills, to identify problem areas and take positive, tangible measures to help the driver to overcome weaknesses that might otherwise lead to costly mistakes. (Also pre- employment)

Duration:  1 Hour, Monday - Saturday
Evaluations include: (K53 standards)
- Pre-trip inspections
- Maneuvers (reversing, ally docking)
- Driving on the road (robot controlled crossings, traffic circles, stop crossings, driving in traffic, response to other road users)
- Manipulation of controls
- Safe driving such as: changing lanes, overtaking, entering traffic etc.Van

We supply!
- Patient instructors
- All vehicles are comprehensively insured
- Highly trained instructors with instructor’s certificates

ADVANCED DRIVING


Defensive + Economical Driving – Code B, C1 or EC

 

Goal: To become a safer and better road user, and through observation and foresight to eliminate and prevent dangerous situations. Emphasis on safety and vehicle empathy.

Entry Requirements:
- Literacy
- Drivers license
-1 Year actual driving experience

Duration: 1 Day + 1 hour assessment after 4 weeks

Module 1 : 3 hour theory session
Module 2 : 1 hour practical driving
Module 3 : 1 hour evaluation after 4 weeks

Dates: Every week Monday - Friday

Certification : After successful evaluation a certificate of competence will be issued ( valid for 2 years)

 


4 x 4 Driver Training Course

 

Goal: To train the driver how to use a 4 x 4 vehicle optimal, safely and with vehicle empathy.

Duration : 1 Day

Module 1 : 1 hour theory session
Module 2 : 6 hour practical driving
Module 3 : Evaluation

Certification : After successful evaluation a certificate of competence will be issued ( valid for 2 years)

Anti-Hijack Course

 

Goal: To make the driver aware of the threat of hi-jacking and teach him preventative measures.

Entry Requirements
- none

Course Duration:
1 Day (08h30—16h00)

Certification: A certificate of attendance will be issued.

Course contents:
Case studies, Profile of a hi-jacker, Trip planning, Type of hi-jacking, When am I the most vulnerable?,
Preventative driving habits, How should I react if I am hijacked?

 


Convey Dangerous Goods by Road (PrDP"D")


He and She Driver training Centre is accredited with Department of Transport and TETA seta to supply training on the course:  Convey Dangerous Goods by road.

Goal:
Dangerous Goods And Substances Training Course for Drivers, who are by law, if driving a Dangerous Goods Vehicle above the exempt quantity, must have a PrDP “D”, and needs to produce a certificate for such training.

Entry Requirements:
- Literacy
- Driver License
- Minimum 25 years old

Duration : Full course:  2 Days
                   Re-certification:  1 Day

National Certificate Professional Driver


Learnerships:

 

A Learnership is a qualification which runs over a period of 12 months that combines theoretical and practical training. Learnerships involve theoretical classroom training, conducted by an accredited provider , and then on-the-job training hosted by an employer.

Learnerships are life long integrated learning programmes, which allows learners to gain a national qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework. They allow organisations to take unemployed individuals off the street and provide them with an opportunity to become skilled in certain areas as well as offer opportunities for employed individuals to become skilled or developed in certain fields of expertise.
Government discretionary grants can be applied for in order to place learners on learnerships for which organisations receive tax rebates for partaking in such projects.

Learnership offered by He and She Driving Training Centre:

1) National Certificate in Professional Driving - NQF3
The fundamental and Core unit standards are compulsory, the rest of the credits are selected from the electives to complete the 122 minimum credits for the qualification.

2 ) Skills Programmes
Skills Programmes are specific programmes related to the individual’s organisation core business. This can be one or a number of unit standards that are linked together for a particular purpose. A combination of skills programmes, can over time, lead to a full qualification. Core and elective unit standards can be selected to make up a skills programme.
